Essay Assignment

To get us started off in the spirit of Ben Franklin, each Junto club member will need to read at least 50 Ben Franklin quotes.  He wrote hundreds, so that will be easy.  Then, pick the one that you like the best and write about why you like it, or why you think it is still relevant today.

There are no word minimums or maximums.  Nor am I asking for any particular format for your essay.  It doesn't even have to be complete sentences.  If you wish to write a poem for your blog, that is perfectly acceptable.  You can add pictures, videos, whatever strikes you as you think about your chosen quote.  Perhaps, the parents of each participant would like to have their own rules about essay format. 

Post your name in the comments section below to determine the order in which you will present your essays (on the main page of the blog) to the group.  Presentations will be weekly. Once you pick your quote, post that in the comments, too, so we can try not to have repeats. 

When everyone has written an essay on this topic, this page will change and new topics will be available.
